Spatial puzzling is my passion, to make smart designs that can take a punch. I mean that the plan does not age quickly, can alternate with the changes in use. Spatial innovations make it possible to use the building in different ways, now and in the future.

Liisa Aholainen

I was born and raised in Finland. I Studied in the University of Art and Design of Helsinki (now Aalto University) and graduated as Master of Arts in Art education with Industrial Design as a secondary subject. Since 2008 I live and work in the Netherlands, Rotterdam being my current home town.

I am an artist and a design educator. In my work I combine art, design and architecture with passion for colour and form. My strengths are eye for colour, didactic expertise and understanding of design processes. I offer colour design services in fields of art, design, architecture and interior design. I also give courses and workshops about the use of colour in different contexts.

In all my work I’m searching for the moments when colour, form and space complement each other and create something meaningful.
